Today went to Epsilon for the first time. This is a much touted gated community where rumor has it that some houses rent for over $10,000/month, usually by MNC CEOs. One of Molly's classmates, Amey, lives there with mom Shweta. Gorgeous house, designed by one of Maya's classmates, Sandeep Khosla.
Monday, August 2, 2009 12th Wedding Anniversary
Went with the kids to a Goan brunch at Ista hotel. Lots of fun, but food quite mediocre. Not a repeater, as we say. Ran into Amba Rao, Neev teacher and administrator, as well as Akancha, a classmate of Molly's. Our favorite magician who we used to always see at Grand Ashok was also there.
In the evening, took a flight to Pune for training.

Car wouldn't start. Expat express sent mechanic. Dust and corrosion on battery impeded contact. He scraped crud off, re-attached cable, and car started. Our new driver Eshwaran started. He's a very young looking nice guy with two children.

I woke up to a decorated Ganesha. Molly and Charlie had taken flowers from the garden and decorated him beautifully. Meanwhile, Maya was with Marylouise, going to church.
A little later, Maya came home with a horrible cough. Charlie still has fever and diarrhea.

Ski's 49th birthday.
Charlie back at school. Lucky Maya has the week off. All her boy classmates are rehearsing for the big play, so the whole 4th grade has no school. Kitty said Prithvi was quite upset when he heard the girls had no school.
But Maya still sick with cough and fever anyway.

Molly rode home on the bus with her classmate Riddhi for a playdate. I'd visited there before, so thought she'd be comfortable. But as it turned out, I got a call from her mom Rachna while I was in a trainingat Decho Corp.--only 39 minutes into the playdate--and Molly was insisted she go home immediately. I called Rita and asked her to go pick her up.
